NUOVI EROI

1. Void Spirit (Melee, Carry, Escape, Nuker, Disabler)

Ready to join his spirit brethren at last, the Void Spirit emerges from his Hidden Temple to stand guard over multiple areas of the battlefield at once. Able to step into and out of the mortal plane at will, he easily outmaneuvers opponents to strike from wherever he desires, calling upon the powers of the aether to shield him in times of need.
AETHER REMNANT
Void Spirit dispatches a remnant aspect of himself to stand sentinel over a small area. The remnant peers in a single direction, waiting to pull in and damage enemies that cross its gaze.
DISSIMILATE
Void Spirit temporarily fades into the aether, creating a number of portals through which he can reassemble himself and cause damage to enemies in the area where he reappears.
RESONANT PULSE
Void Spirit wraps himself in a protective shield that absorbs physical damage and emits a single damaging pulse around him. The shield gains increased damage absorption for each enemy hero the pulse hits.
ASTRAL STEP
Void Spirit consumes a charge to rip through reality into the astral plane, damaging all enemies along the rift path and inflicting a void mark that slows and detonates for significant damage.

2. Snapfire (Ranged, Support, Nuker, Disabler, Escape)

Just as happy to blow your legs off with her trusty scattergun as to fill your belly up with a deliciously-dangerous cookie, Beatrix Snapfire delights in riding into battle with her dragon toad Mortimer, always ready to mow down their enemies with her homemade heavy artillery or finish them off with a steady barrage of Mortimer’s firespit globs.

SCATTERBLAST
Snapfire unloads with a wide blast from her trusty scattergun that damages and slows enemies. Particularly effective at point-blank range.
FIRESNAP COOKIE
Snapfire feeds a potent cookie to Mortimer or an ally, causing them to hop a short distance. The hopping unit stuns and damages enemies in the landing zone.
LIL’ SHREDDER
Snapfire unleashes a volley of fixed-damage attacks with her lizard-mounted battle cannons, gaining rapid fire and bonus attack range while slowing the attack speed of enemies she hits.
MORTIMER KISSES
Snapfire rears up on Mortimer, guiding his aim as he launches burning globs of firespit that damage on impact and linger on the ground to slow enemies and cause more damage over time.

GENERAL UPDATES

COURIER

  • Each player now has their own courier automatically
  • Courier now gains levels when your hero gains levels
  • Courier movement speed reduced from 380 to 275
  • Courier health reduced from 75 to 70
  • Courier now provides 85 GPM while it is alive (this replaces the base 91 GPM that previously existed)
  • Courier passively gains +10 movement speed, +10 health and +2 GPM increase per level
  • Courier gains flying movement at level 5
  • Courier gains Speed Burst active ability at level 10 (6-second duration +50% MS, 120 CD)
  • Courier gains ability to use wards at level 15
  • Courier gains Shield active ability at level 20 (2s duration, 200 CD)
  • Courier gains ability to use items in general at level 25
  • Courier vision reduced from 350 to 200
  • Courier team bounty is now 25 + 5 * Level, xp is 35 + 20 * Level
  • Courier respawn time changed from 120/180 ground/flying to 50 + 7 * Level
  • Courier Return Items ability will now cause the courier to return home even if it doesn’t have items

ECONOMY

  • Observer Wards no longer cost gold
  • Heroes now start with 3 Town Portal Scrolls
  • Gold earned from killing an Observer Ward will now always be given to the player that bought the true sight
  • Heroes that have recently applied damage or a debuff on an enemy hero that dies are now considered part of the area assist gold even if they are no longer alive or in that area
  • Assist gold distribution multiplier for Net Worth ranking factor in the area is changed from multiplying based on the heroes in the area, to globally.
  • Net Worth Ranking factor for Gold changed from 1.3->0.7 to 1.6->0.4

GENERAL

  • Map layout redesigned
  • Heroes can now level up to 30. Once you get to level 30, you unlock the entire talent tree. XP requirement for the levels are 3500/4500/5500/6500/7500. Respawn time does not increase past 25. XP bounties max out at level 25 bounty values.
  • Spell Immunity no longer grants 100% Magic Resistance (this means that all spells that are able to pierce spell immunity now deal damage as well)
    • Note 1: A quick refresher on how this currently works: Spells have two properties: 1) whether it applies to Spell Immune targets, and 2) what the damage type is. These are listed in the ability tooltips.
    • Note 2: This change means that if something pierced immunity before, and was magical damage, it will now do damage. If it didn’t pierce spell immunity before, it will still not deal any damage.
  • Removed Side Shops
  • Bottle has been removed from the Secret Shop
  • All Secret Shop items are now exclusively in the Secret Shop (this means Ring of Health and Void Stone are no longer in the base)
  • Tier 2 Towers HP increased from 1900 to 2000
  • Tier 2 Tower Armor increased from 15 to 16
  • Tier 2 Tower Damage increased from 152 to 175
  • Tier 2+ towers night vision increased from 800 to 1100
  • Tower Glyph multishot targets increased from 2 to 4
  • Glyph duration increased from 6 to 7
  • Improved input processing to feel snappier, as well as fixing some rare input drop bugs
  • Denied towers now give half of the bounty to the team that denies it and half to the other team (instead of 0 to both teams)
  • Siege damage against heroes increased from 85% to 100%
  • Fountain damage increased from 230 to 275
  • Fountain now has 20% Accuracy

NEUTRAL UNITS BALANCE

  • Neutral Cloak Aura no longer stacks
  • Neutral Harpy Stormcrafter: Max mana reduced from 400 to 150
  • Neutral Harpy Stormcrafter: Mana regeneration increased from 1 to 3
  • Neutral Mud Golem: Hurl Boulder damage reduced from 125 to 75
  • Neutral Ghost: Frost Attack move slow from 20 to 25%
  • Neutral Ghost: Frost Attack attack slow from 20 to 25%
  • Neutral Vhoul Assassin: Poison debuff now applies 35% Regen Reduction

OUTPOSTS

Added a new neutral building type – Outposts

There are two of these on the map, located where the Side Shops were previously. Right clicking to channel it takes 6 seconds and then you gain control over the outpost. Converts faster with more allies channeling. Having control over an outpost grants you bonus XP upon initially capturing it, and at 5-minute intervals on the game clock. It also provides your team unobstructed vision in that area and allows you to TP to it. Outposts are inactive for the first 10 minutes of the game and cannot be captured then.

  • XP bonus is 25*Min XP to each player
  • Provides 500 AoE truesight
  • Only gains XP bonus once per period regardless if you have one or two outposts controlled
  • Takes 6 seconds to teleport to it (shares the delayed TP duration mechanic with T1 towers)

NEUTRAL ITEMS

Neutrals now drop unique items that cannot be sold, but can be shared with allies. There are five tiers of items that drop over the course of the game. Within each tier, the odds get cut by half for each subsequent drop. Items of a specific type will only drop once for each team. Drops only begin after 5 minutes.

There are 62 unique neutral items in total.

These are the odds for the first drop of each tier – Each subsequent drop between a tier is cut by half. So if the first drop is 10%, the next within that tier will be 5%, then 2.5%, etc.

Drop chances use Pseudo Random on a per tier and per team basis. Only rolls for a drop whenever there is a real hero near the dying neutral.

Consumable that comes with 2 charges. Permanently grants +2.5 HP Regen and +1.25 Mana Regen to the target unit. Does not stack on the same unit. Sharing is caring.

IRONWOOD TREE

Recipe can be used to combine with 3 Iron Branches to create an Ironwood Tree. Provides +7 All Stats and the ability to plant a special tree. Cooldown: 4. Cast Range: 800

TRUSTY SHOVEL

+150 Health. Activate to Dig with a 1 second channel. Can find a Bounty Rune, a Flask, a 2 charged TP Scroll bundle, or an enemy Kobold. The same reward doesn’t appear back to back. Cooldown: 70 seconds.

HELM OF THE UNDYING

Provides +6 Armor. Equipped hero survives an extra 5 seconds after receiving a killing blow.

IMP CLAW

Passive. +18 Attack Damage. Causes your next attack to deal 1.6x damage. Cooldown: 10

PHILOSOPHER’S STONE

+75 GPM, +200 Mana and -35 Attack Damage on yourself

DRAGON SCALE

+5 Armor and +5 HP Regen. Your attacks now add an afterburn that deals 12 dmg/sec for 3 seconds. Affects buildings.

Grants truesight in a 500 radius and +300 day and night vision. Has 3 charges, after 3 deaths it disappears.

SPIDER LEGS

Provides +24% Movement Speed (doesn’t stack with boots) and +30% Turn Rate. Can be activated to gain free pathing and +24% Movement Speed for 3 seconds, destroys trees along the way. Cooldown: 10

VAMBRACE

Recipe combines 2 Bracers, 2 Wraith Bands or 2 Null Talismans to create a corresponding Strength, Agility or Intelligence Vambrace. Grants +14 designated attribute, +8 all other attributes, and either +12% magic resistance, +12 attack speed or +8% spell amp based on the respective type of Vambrace.

CLUMSY NET

+5 All Stats and +3 Mana Regen. Activate to ensnare yourself and the target enemy for 2 seconds. 900 Cast Range. Cooldown: 25

NINJA GEAR

ILLUSIONST’S CAPE

Increases illusions damage by 10%. Can be activated to create an illusion of you that deals 50% and takes 150% for 20 seconds. Cooldown: 30

HAVOC HAMMER

+60 Damage, +18 Strength, Increases BAT by 0.3. Can be activated to knock enemies within a 300 AoE back by a distance of 250, slowing their movement speed by 50% for 3 seconds.

MAGIC LAMP

Passive. +400 Health. Hard dispels and heals you for 300 when you drop below 15% health. Cooldown: 75.

THE LEVELLER

+50 Attack Speed. Your attacks cleave or splash for 50% in a 400/250 area.

MINOTAUR HORN

+20 Strength. Activate to Gain Magic Immunity for 1.75s. Cooldown: 40 seconds.

FORCE BOOTS

+50% Movement Speed and unlocks max movement speed. Can be activated to self dispel and push you 800 distance forward. Cooldown: 6 seconds.

FALLEN SKY

Activate to disapear and turn into a Meteor, quickly falling on the target area, applying Meteor Hammer’s stun and damage. Cast Range: 1600. Cooldown: 15. Does not get disabled by incoming damage.

FUSION RUNE

Consumable that can be activated to gain every Power Rune effect for 50 seconds. 3 Charges. Cooldown: 120 seconds.

APEX

Increases your Primary Attribute by 80%.

BALLISTA

+400 Attack Range. Attacks Knock the Enemy 50 Distance Back.

WOODLAND STRIDERS

+50% Movement Speed, unlocks max movement speed and grants +50 HP Regen. Grants Treewalking. Activate to leave trees in your wake as you move for 3s. These trees last up to 60 seconds. Cooldown: 20 seconds.

TRIDENT

BOOK OF THE DEAD

+35 Strength and Intelligence. Activates to summon 6 level 3 Necronomicon units for 90 seconds. Cooldown: 75 seconds.

PIRATE HAT

Grant +250 Attack Speed. When you kill an enemy hero, a bounty rune spawns between you and the target.

EX MACHINA

+25 Armor. Activate to refresh all item cooldowns (except Refresher Orb). Cooldown: 30 seconds.

DESOLATOR 2

+100 Attack Damage and -12 Armor on attack

PHOENIX ASH

+30 All Stats. Lethal damage is prevented and heals you to full HP. Gets consumed upon triggering. 1 Charge, gets destroyed after use.

Con un comunicato stampa pubblicato solo una manciata di ore fa su X, l’Esports World Cup annuncia un montepremi record per la prossima edizione 2024 del mondiale.

L’edizione 2024 verrà ospitata dalla città di Riyadh, ed al suo interno vedrà coinvolti 19 titoli competitivi per un totale di 20 tornei. Il montepremi totale stanziato per tutto l’evento è di ben 60 milioni di Dollari… Ben 15 milioni in più rispetto al precedente record ottenuto da Gamers8 nel corso del 2023.

La grande novità è però rappresentata dal Club Championship… Ovvero un formato competitivo cross-game esclusivo del mondiale, che assegnerà 20 milioni di dollari ai primi 16 club in base alle loro prestazioni complessive sui vari titoli in gara.

Per quanto riguarda appunto i titoli coinvolti, sappiamo che al momento la lista comprende, tra gli altri, anche: Apex Legends, Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, EA Sports FC 24, Fortnite, League of Legends, Overwatch 2, PUBG Battlegrounds, PUBG MOBILE, Rainbow Six Siege, Rocket League, StarCraft II, Street Fighter 6, Teamfight Tactics e TEKKEN 8.

Siamo orgogliosi di annunciare un montepremi totale senza precedenti di oltre 60 milioni di dollari per la prima Coppa del mondo di eSport questa estate a Riyadh, in Arabia Saudita. Il Club Championship, un innovativo formato competitivo cross-game esclusivo dell’EWC, assegnerà 20 milioni di dollari ai primi 16 club in base alle loro prestazioni complessive. Il Campionato per club è un nuovo formato incentrato su competizioni multi-gioco… In cui ogni club ha l’opportunità di schierare le proprie squadre in più titoli. Alla conclusione dell’evento, il club con le migliori prestazioni nei vari campionati di gioco verrà incoronato primo campione del mondo per club della Coppa del mondo di eSport.

Il restante montepremi sarà suddiviso in tre categorie di distribuzione aggiuntive: Campionati di gioco, Ricompense dei giocatori e Qualificazioni. Ognuna delle 20 competizioni dei Game Championships avrà il proprio montepremi per un totale combinato superiore a 33 milioni di dollari. Inoltre, un premio di $ 50.000 per il giocatore MVP verrà assegnato a un partecipante eccezionale in ogni competizione. Più di 7 milioni di dollari verranno assegnati prima dell’inizio dei Campionati di gioco… Ovvero mentre squadre e giocatori competono per qualificarsi per i posti disponibili nei tornei attraverso eventi di qualificazione idonei gestiti da editori partner e organizzatori di eventi.

L’innovativa line-up dell’EWC di 19 titoli partecipanti è composta da Apex Legends, Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, EA Sports FC 24, Fortnite, Free Fire, Honor of Kings, League of Legends, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Overwatch 2, PUBG Battlegrounds , PUBG MOBILE, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, RENNSPORT, Rocket League, StarCraft II, Street Fighter 6, Teamfight Tactics e TEKKEN 8. Altri titoli saranno annunciati presto.

Oltre a concentrarsi sull’eccellenza competitiva, l’EWC trasformerà Riyadh nell’epicentro del fandom degli eSport e della cultura del gioco con un enorme festival coinvolgente con attivazioni di gioco, tornei comunitari, celebrazioni della cultura pop, esperienze internazionali e molto altro. Ulteriori informazioni sull’EWC Festival saranno rilasciate in un secondo momento.

Con una nota condivisa nella notte tra ieri ed oggi, Valve ha reso noto di essere intenzionata ad aggiungere con effetto immediato l’opzione per fare la resa, o fare FF che dir si voglia, su Dota 2: secondo lacuni tuttavia il divario con LOL è ormai fin troppo evidente.

La decisione arriva con diversi anni di ritardo sui rivali di casa Riot, sul quale da ormai tantissimo tempo è stato aggiunto un sistema di voto per far terminare la partita in maniera precoce.

A differenza di quanto occorre su League of Legends, Dota 2 ha de sampre abituato i propri giocatori a finire sempre un partita iniziata, anche quando le cose sembrerebbero andare nel verso sbagliato.

Dota 2 arriva finalmente LA RESA, ma è troppo tardi rispetto a LOL

    ‘We think Dota is best played as a group with friends. To encourage this style of play we’re introducing a few experimental changes with the patch today to improve overall match quality for these kinds of games:– Full parties are now permitted to match against any valid opposing team, and are no longer required to match against a full party in ranked.
    – Adjusted matchmaking tuning to make finding a game as a full party faster.
    – Full parties may now all chat “gg” to surrender a match after 30 minutes of game time with the same 10 second countdown and cancel UI as in pro games. This is scored as a loss.”
  • ITA:
    ”Pensiamo che Dota sia meglio giocato in gruppo con gli amici. Per incoraggiare questo stile di gioco, stiamo introducendo alcune modifiche sperimentali con la patch oggi per migliorare la qualità complessiva delle partite per questi tipi di partite:– I gruppi completi ora possono confrontarsi con qualsiasi squadra avversaria valida e non sono più tenuti a confrontarsi con un gruppo completo in classificata.
    – Ottimizzazione del matchmaking regolata per rendere più veloce la ricerca di un game quando si è in 5.
    – Le squadre al completo possono ora chattare in /all “gg” per arrendersi dopo 30 minuti di gioco con lo stesso conto alla rovescia di 10 secondi e come nelle partite tra pro. Questo ovviamente verrà contato come una sconfitta.’

Nel corso della serata di ieri è iniziata un’operazione su scala nazionale rivolta contro le sale LAN italiane.

Importanti realtà della scena nazionale come Esport Palace, PC-TEKLAB o WEArena, sono state rivoltate e messe sottosopra, chiuse, ed in alcuni casi anche con i PC sotto sequestro. Agli amici dell’Esport Palace ad esempio, gli uomini delle Dogane e dei Monopoli hanno sequestrato 37 postazioni PC, con una sanzione amministrativa variabile dai 5 ai 50 MILA EURO per ogni singolo computer.

Quello in atto in questo momento, più che un’operazione dello Stato, inizia ad assumere le caratteristiche di un attacco mirato, e da tempo progettato, contro un intero settore.

Dopo il COVID, che ha tagliato le gambe di tantissimi giovani coraggiosi imprenditori italiani, ed i terribili venti di guerra che minacciano la sostenibilità di migliaia di attività in tutta l’Italia, ora arriva anche questa mazzata…

Questo è un momento devastante per il nostro settore.

Umiliato, martoriato e denigrato da una classe dirigente non adeguata, saldamente ancorata al passato, e ingiallita nell’animo.

Solamente la settimana scorsa sentivamo al TG1 parole del tutto sconclusionate e false sui videogiochi da parte del Senatore Andrea Cangini (che ha poi ritrattato sostanzialmente tutto nel corso dell’ottimo podcast condotto da Ivan Grieco, con una serie di epiche giravolte che hanno messo a nudo un pressapochismo allarmante).

Oggi scopriamo addirittura che le sale LAN possono essere utilizzate per “aggirare la normativa nazionale vigente in materia di gioco lecito“… Vergogna. “Shame on you” come direbbe qualche fiero millenials, questo vi meritate.

Come è possibile? Vi chiederete giustamente voi… Cerchiamo di fare chiarezza su cosa è accaduto, senza farci ubriacare troppo da commi e articoli legislativi.

Chiusura delle Sale Lan: cosa sta accadendo? 

La LED S.R.L. di Sergio Milesi ha presentato un esposto all’ADM, l’Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli, che ha fatto scattare un’operazione in tutta Italia. Al momento in cui scrivo questo aggiornamento, sembra che la cosa stia riguardando principalmente le regioni del nord, ma  gli amici delle sale lan di tutta Italia sono ora in allarme ed in forte apprensione.

L’accusa che viene mossa, è che i computer delle sale lan non siano “omologati” e quindi “illegali” per l’art 110 comma 7 del TULPS. Questo articolo recita che tutti i macchinari (come slot machine, biliardini o altri giochi appartenenti a 3 decenni fa) devono essere “dotati di dispositivi che ne garantiscano la immodificabilità delle caratteristiche tecniche e delle modalità di funzionamento e distribuzione dei premi”.

Capite bene che è impossibile pensare di rendere “immodificabile” un computer, cosi come è assurdo pensare che un videogame rimanga “immutato” nel corso della storia, visto che al giorno d’oggi ogni azienda seria rilascia infinite patch ed aggiornamenti, ogni giorno.

Per queste ragioni, molto banalmente, la legge in questione è inapplicabile, è del tutto illegittima. Tutta questa situazione sembra più il disperato tentativo di distruggere il mondo delle sale lan e del nuovo intrattenimento digitale. Questi signori sono spaventati da ciò che le sale lan e gli esports rappresentano. Noi siamo “il nuovo”, evidentemente una minaccia, per un’intera categoria di persone e di professionisti.

Per delegittimarci e intimorirci (ricordate la multa di quasi 90K che ci venne inflitta per un banale torneo gratuito di Hearthstone? Nel caso voleste rinfrescarvi la memoria), questi soggetti presentano esposti a delle procure del tutto inadeguate a svolgere un ruolo che sia garante per tutti. Le leggi sono vecchie, inapplicabili al mondo digitale. Come puoi pretendere l’omologazione di un computer come fosse una banale macchina mangia soldi?

Come si può pensare che la tecnica ed il software che alimentano un simulatore di Formula Uno, usato dalle stesse squadre come Ferrari o Mercedes, debbano rispettare la stessa omologazione di una schifosa slot machine?

Sarebbe come pretendere che una macchina di formula uno avesse la targa, perchè sotto la giurisdizione dell’omologazione “stradale normale”. Una follia insomma. Una follia tutta italiana, Stato dove la mentalità boomers è dilagante oltre che linfa vitale di tutta la struttura burocratica.

Del resto anche Jacopo Ierussi, esport lawyer e Consigliere Federale con mandato affari legali di FIDE, ad una primissima richiesta di chiarimenti ci ha spiegato: “Ad una prima analisi, a mio avviso trattasi di proveddimenti illeggittimi che mettono sullo stesso piano situazioni dissimili e non equiparabili, specie laddove si accosti impropriamente l’esport al gioco d’azzardo.

In particolare, anche come FIDE, ci terremo e stiamo tenendo in contatto con i soggetti interessati al fine di supportare e promuovere ogni iniziativa ritenuta utile a porre nel nulla questo tipo di provvedimenti nell’immediato e nel futuro. Al contempo auspico che tutti quelli che promuovano l’esport a livello istituzionale in Italia, vogliano far fronte comune per tutelare l’ecosistema, il settore e tutti coloro che vi operano”.

Personalmente, seguo gli esports dal 2013 (quando ancora gli esports non erano esports, per intenderci) perchè ho deciso, insieme al mio socio Dave Plug, di lanciarmi in un’avventura tutta nuova.

Non arriverò mai a pensare di aver sbagliato “nazione”, ma sin dal 2015, da quando lo Stato decise di punirmi perchè una battle.net card valeva più di un “lapis o fermacarte“, ho sempre pensato che dallo stato non avrei ottenuto mai alcun tipo di aiuto o supporto.

Ce la saremmo dovuta cavare da soli, e cosi effettivamente è stato.

Negli esports abbiamo però trovato anche una nuova e più allargata famiglia, una famiglia assolutamente standard, in cui quindi c’è stato anche qualche leggendario litigio.

Oggi però è cambiato tutto. Il 29 Aprile lo stato ha nuovamente deciso di colpire un settore già martoriato ed in ginocchio, mettendo a rischio tanti onesti lavoratori. Oggi sentiamo che le sale lan verranno chiuse, che le fiere non vi saranno (anche le “console” sarebbero illegali e non omologate, come PC e altro), e che partirà la caccia alle streghe che polverizzerà questo tipo di intrattenimento.

Questo però, è quello che credono loro. Poveri illusi. Le sale lan sono il cuore degli esports. Abbiamo sempre detto che le sale lan sono le nostre “ambasciate” sul territorio, i luoghi in cui si raggiunge la “sintesi” tra la socialità virtuale e quella “live“… Sono dei luoghi sacri cazzo, che non dovevate nemmeno immaginare di colpire.

Serve Class Action del settore: tutte le leggi che regolamentano videogiochi /esports devono essere aggiornate! 

Ritengo che sia giunto il momento di rispondere. Questo deve essere il momento di intraprendere una CLASS ACTION. La cosa riguarda tutti. Riguarda le associazioni, gli streamer, le sale lan, gli organizzatori di tornei, gli owner dei team, gli editori di settore…

L’obiettivo? Un immediato confronto con lo stato per aggiornare e rendere adeguato il sistema legislativo che regola il nostro settore. Vogliamo lavorare, vogliamo divertirci lavorando e non vergognarci per questo. E vogliamo farlo nella massima legalità.

Senza un valido sistema di leggi adeguate ed aggiornate, sarete voi uomini dello stato i fuorilegge illegittimi.

In ogni caso ora tocca a noi. E’ giunto il momento di organizzarci. E di pretendere che la macchina statale, cosi come avviene in ogni altro stato modernizzato, adegui le sue norme ed i suoi commi alla nostra giustissima esistenza.
