Pochi minuti fa è stata mostrata la lista di note della patch ufficiali relativa alla Stagione 6 di Warzone e MW2. Attraverso questo speciale andremo a vedere quali sono, nel dettaglio, i nuovi contenuti in arrivo sia nella modalità multiplayer che su WZ a partire da questo pomeriggio.

Partendo proprio da Warzone, con la Season 6 assistiamo al rilascio di svariate nuove modalità a tema zombie (ne abbiamo parlato dettagliatamente qui), oltre ad un pacchetto che comprende 3 nuove armi (ISO 9mm e TR-76 Geist oltre al resto).

Tantissime nuove skin, più 4 nuove mappe interamente dedicate alla modalità multiplayer. Numerosa la lista con i fix relativi ai bug ed ai problemi che hanno afflitto i giocatori in queste ultime settimane, cosi come quella relativa ai bilanciamenti per le armi.

GAMEPLAY

  • Al Mazrah Champion’s Quest Reward
    • A new Assault Rifle Weapon Blueprint called “Flow Thru” is now available for Players to earn via a Champion’s Quest Victory on Al Mazrah.
      • Want to see what it looks like? Drop in and earn it!
  • Signals Intelligence Contract
    • This Contract has been re-enabled.
    • Reduced the number of Contracts to hack to 2, down from 3.
  • Supply Box Loot Behavior | Quality of Life
    • We’ve improved the behavior and visibility of additional loot that drops on the ground out of Supply Boxes.
  • Buy Station Limited Row
    • P.R.D. has been replaced with a Medic Plate Carrier which costs $4,000.
    • Reinforcement Flare price has been increased to $7,000, up from $5,000.

BUG FIXES

  • Fixed issue that prevented the Player who called in a Deployable Buy Station from being properly shown on the UI.
  • Fixed an issue related to Assimilation requests not behaving properly that were accepted after the Player initiating the request was eliminated.
  • Fixed an issue where Field Upgrades used on the train would sometimes become unusable.
  • Fixed an audio issue with Supply Boxes.

WZ RANKED PLAY

Season 06 brings new rewards to Warzone Ranked Play for including the Pro Issue Signal 50 Weapon Blueprint, Seasonal Division Vehicle Skins, and much more.

Season 06 Highlight Changes and Fixes

Global Battle Royale Changes

  • Check out the Gameplay section above for some important updates to Battle Royale and Al Mazrah.

Ranked Battle Royale Changes

  • Ranked Spectator Icon
    • Removed the Spectator Icon in the top right of the interface that indicates how many eliminated Players are spectating the active Player.

Match Ruleset Updates

  • Deployment Fee Updates
    • Iridescent: -110 SR + 10 SR every 300 SR (previously 500 SR) above 10,000, up to a NEW max Deployment Fee of -280 SR.

End of Season Skill Setback

  • At the end of each Season, your ending Skill Division will determine where you start the following season:
    • Bronze through Crimson I Players are set back three Tiers below where they finished in the previous season.
      • Example: A Player ending Season 04 in Gold III will begin Season 05 in Silver III.
    • Players Crimson II and above will start Season 05 in Diamond I.

        • Finish “Top 15” 25 Times: ‘Full Send’ Large Weapon Decal

  • End of Season Division Rewards
    • At the end of each Season, Players will be awarded Skill Division rewards that represent their highest attained Division that Season.

      • Players who climb into Gold and above will obtain a new reward each season where we previously offered a Weapon Charm associated with their highest attained Division. For Season 06, we’re offering Seasonal Division Vehicle Skins.
    • Seasonal Division Rewards
      • Each Ranked Play Season will have a unique set of Division Rewards awarded at the end of the Season to celebrate the Player’s highest Skill Division reached that Season.
        • The Season 06 rewards are as follows:
          • Top 250: ‘WZ Season 06 Top 250’ Vehicle Skin, Emblem, and Calling Card
          • Players must be in the Top 250 Division at the end of the Season to qualify for these rewards.

GAMEPLAY

Prepare for The Haunting to Come to DMZ

The Haunting is just a few weeks away, and that means DMZ will also be plunged into darkness.

Everything featured in The Haunting for Battle Royale will be available to experience in DMZ too, including “Operation Nightmare,” where you’ll have to face down the horrors of the Hellmouth that has opened in Al Mazrah and more.

Infil now and get some practice in with your squad – you’ll need it when The Haunting comes to DMZ on October 17th.

Adjustments

  • Assimilation now allows a maximum of 4 Players per team
  • Players can now use their own Dog Tags to Barter in DMZ
  • Hostages can no longer be dropped on dirt bikes
  • Hostages can now be extracted in drivable exfil helicopters
  • Reduced the frequency of Killstreaks found in loot
  • Surviving a Hunt Squad contract now grants a UAV immediately to the hunted squad

BUG FIXES

  • Fixed an issue that could cause the Player to not receive event credit for running over enemies with the LTV
  • Fixed an issue causing an incorrect Crown Faction unlock requirement
  • Fixed an issue that showed unobtainable notes in the notes menu
  • Fixed an issue that allowed Players to set a custom weapon to Contraband in certain situations
  • Fixed an issue where hostile helicopters chasing the train could spawn without enemies in rare circumstances
  • Fixed a number of Faction Mission descriptions
  • Fixed an issue where the Signal Intelligence contract could target phones in locked spaces
  • Fixed an issue where pinging hostages would activate an incorrect voice line
  • Fixed an issue where some Phalanx missions were not properly allowing Players to progress other squadmate’s missions
  • Fixed an issue that sometimes allowed Players to carry a Primary Weapon while holding a hostage
  • Fixed a number of inconsistent Buy Station prices

PROGRESSION

The Final Prestige – Level 1,250

  • Season 06 will increase the Prestige Rank cap from 21 to 25, with a new maximum level of 1,250. Obtaining each new Prestige Rank offers multiple rewards along with a new icon besides the Prestige number, as follows:
    • Prestige 22: Unlocked at Level 1,100
    • Prestige 23: Unlocked at Level 1,150
    • Prestige 24: Unlocked at Level 1,200
    • Prestige 25: Unlocked at Level 1,250

GLOBAL BUG FIXES

  • Fixed an issue where helicopters were taking higher damage than intended when stuck with a Shock Stick
  • Fixed an issue where the Player could be teleported outside of the Heavy Chopper while it was moving in rare circumstances
  • Fixed an issue allowing Dirt Bikes collision with water to not function as intended
  • Fixed an issue causing some Operators to clip when in the MRAP
  • Fixed an issue where menu titles can appear incorrectly when using the quick menu
  • Fixed an issue affecting the appearance of the 9mm Daemon when previewing the weapon
  • Fixed an issue where spending multiple Battle Pass tokens in a row could cause the Player to receive an error message
  • Fixed an issue where camera position was inconsistent when viewing weapons and Blueprints in the Battle Pass
  • Fixed an issue causing the 9mm Daemon unlock requirements to function incorrectly
  • Fixed an issue where the Calling Card and Emblem reward images for Polyatomic and Orion Masteries were swapped on the Carrack .300
  • Fixed an issue preventing the ‘Report Player’ function from working correctly from the in-game Scoreboard
  • Fixed an issue preventing vehicle skin changes from displaying correctly when equipping a new skin
  • Fixed an exploit that allowed Weapon Blueprint duplication
  • Fixed an issue preventing Players from navigating the Play Again options using the left thumb stick on controller
  • Fixed an issue where some Bonus Challenges were not rewarding XP correctly upon completion
  • Fixed an issue where an Operator’s image can be greyed out after selecting them
  • Fixed an issue where the Manage Files menu could kick the Player back to the main menu
  • Fixed an issue where the Screen Refresh Rate setting would not adjust correctly
  • Fixed an issue where the Drill Charge would not play a sound when a Player was stuck
  • Fixed an issue where some sounds would unintentionally delay over distance
  • Fixed an issue where music was fading out unintentionally between Gunfight rounds
  • Fixed an issue where War Tracks were not mixing correctly according to UI settings
  • Fixed an issue where the detach sound wouldn’t play when exiting an ascender
  • Fixed an issue where AI Gun Screens would not function correctly on secondary weapons

DOWNLOADS

The Season 06 update download file size will be larger than our normal seasonal updates as it includes all Season 06 content as well as preparing for the upcoming Modern Warfare III Beta.

Note: PC users will also require additional space on their hard drive for the patch copying process; this is only temporary space that is reclaimed upon completion of the patch installation and is not an additional download.

  • Fixed an issue where Players who found all 150 intel fragments would not be awarded the exclusive Calling Card
  • Fixed an issue where the “No Respawns” message was not displaying in the Atomgrad Raid Episode

MULTIPLAYER

MAPS

New Maps

  • La Casa (Core 6v6)
    • Deploy to the center of paradise in Las Almas, Mexico. Far from prying eyes and surrounded by high walls, this luxurious estate features a dual-wing layout with living quarters in the east and a massive dining room and offices in the west.
  • Koro Village (Core 6v6)
    • Wind back the clock to 2005 when the Multiplayer map “Toujane” launched with Call of Duty® 2. If you’ve been playing the series long enough to be familiar with that desert town, you’ll recognize the layout of Koro Village, though you might want to bring along some warmer clothes for the new wintry location.
  • King (Gunfight)
    • The fan-favorite Gunfight map that debuted in Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® (2019) returns in Season 06. Though the warehouse holding the practice range has since become tagged up and overgrown, veterans of King will be right at home with its layout.
  • Fight (Gunfight)
    • The new Fight map offers a different kind of firing-range experience as Operators move through various shoot houses that feature extreme close-quarters engagements.

BUG FIXES

  • Fixed an issue that could cause Faction Showdown vehicle challenges to track incorrectly
  • Fixed an issue where the Snoop Dogg Operator didn’t appear correctly in in some Private Matches
  • Fixed an issue where an ISO 45 stock could display a placeholder image when customizing Loadouts in Private Matches
  • Fixed an issue where the UAV Killstreak pings enemy locations in-between scans on some Multiplayer Maps

End of Season Division Rewards

      • Earn a Skill Division Skin for use with both CDL Male & Female Operators on both Factions to represent your highest Skill Division. Once the Skins from one Skill Division have been unlocked they can be permanently used in following Seasons and anywhere you play:

Modern Warfare 3 & Stagione 1: le novità e le nuove mappe in arrivo nel multiplayer

Speciale Mappe Multiplayer – Nel corso della serata di ieri, gli sviluppatori di Activision hanno finalmente mostrato tutte le principali novità che riguardano l’imminente stagione 1 di Modern Warfare 3 e Warzone.

Gli aggiornamenti sono numerosi, e riguardano sia il multiplayer del nuovo titolo di Activision che la versione battle royale/ritorno. In questo speciale ci concentreremo proprio sulle mode e sugli eventi in arrivo su Modern Warfare 3, e che quindi riguarderanno le playlist del multiplayer.

Iniziamo dalle nuove mappe, che al rilascio della Stagione 1 di Modern Warfare 3 saranno ben quattro. Stiamo parlando nello specifico delle tre mappe 6v6 chiamate MEAT, Greece e RIO, e della piccola mappa 2v2 chiamata Training Facility.

Di queste, MEAT, GREECE e Training Facility saranno disponibili al lancio, il 6 Dicembre. Per giocare su Rio invece, dovremo attendere un aggiornamento nel corso della stagione.

Anteprima nuove mappe multiplayer di Modern Warfare 3 – Stagione 1 

Le modalità in arrivo nel multiplayer di Modern Warfare 3 con la Stagione 1

Prima di tutto si segnala il ritorno di Gunfight su Call of Duty. Questa modalità si caratterizza per essere un 2v2 a turni. Non sono previsti respawn ed a tutti i giocatori viene assegnato lo stesso equipaggiamento casuale all’inizio di ogni round. L’equipaggiamento assegnato cambia ogni due round e non sai mai in cosa consisterà.

Per quanto riguarda lo svolgimento, ogni round dura 40 secondi, durante i quali le squadre tentano di eliminare gli avversari. Se il tempo scade ed entrambe le squadre sono ancora vive, sulla mappa verrà generata una bandiera straordinaria per 10 secondi. La prima squadra che cattura la bandiera o elimina la squadra nemica vince il round. Se nessuna delle due squadre vince durante gli straordinari, vince la squadra con più salute. La prima squadra che porta a casa sei round vince la partita.

Per quanto riguarda il “dove”, Gunfight sarà disponibile al lancio su 5 mappe.

Oltre a questo, sappiamo che con la Stagione 1 verranno introdotte in multiplayer su Modern Warfare 3 anche…

  • Tutto o niente (Modalità di gioco disponibile al lancio): schierati con coltelli da lancio e senza munizioni. Ottieni un’eliminazione per attivare il vantaggio Scavenger, che ti consente di recuperare munizioni per la tua arma. Vince il primo che ottiene 20 eliminazioni.
  • Vortex (LTM, nel corso della stagione): in questa modalità tutti contro tutti, un giocatore entra in gioco con la famigerata arma wonder di Zombie, la pistola one shot Ray-Gun. Chi elimina l’Operatore con la Ray Gun diventa il nuovo proprietario di questa potente pistola. Vortex si svolge su tre mappe multigiocatore remixate: Satan’s Quarry, Sporeyard e Tetanus.
  • Santa’s Slayground (LTM, in arrivo con l’evento natalizio CODMAS): Completa le sfide degli eventi per guadagnare ricompense e visitare le classiche mappe a tema natalizio, tra cui Shipmas e Hangover! Cerca solo di non farti mordere. Aspettatevi maggiori informazioni su questo evento e ulteriori modalità a tempo limitato verso la metà della stagione.
La famosa “Ray Gun”

Con l’aggiornamento di metà stagione inoltre, i devs hanno già confermato l’aggiunta delle modalità Infected, Headquarters e Team Gunfight, una versione “6 contro 6” giocata nelle mappe standard del Gunfight di cui abbiamo parlato poco sopra.

L’appuntamento è fissato con tutti per il prossimo 6 Dicembre, giorno in cui verrà ufficialmente rilasciata la Stagione 1.

Warzone & MW3 – Gli sviluppatori di Activision hanno finalmente parlato pubblicamente del matchmaking, ed hanno promesso dei nuovi speciali dedicati nel corso delle prossime settimane.

Prima di tutto i devs hanno confermato che effettivamente l’abilità conta moltissimo all’interno del matchmaking. Questo conferma in modo chiaro e definitivo che lo SBMM è il matchmaking che contraddistingue Call of Duty.

Tuttavia, i devs hanno anche voluto precisare che sono almeno 3 i fattori cruciali per l’assegnazione della lobby, e l’abilità è solo una di queste. Gli altri due fattori imprescindibili sono il tempo di attesa in coda, e certamente anche il ping (o la “latenza”)… Per il quale il gioco cerca di inserire nelle lobby solamente player che soffrono della “stessa lag”.

La questione è certamente molto più complessa di cosi, anche perchè pare che vi siano anche “molti altri fattori”…

Nonostante questo, è sicuramente positivo che i devs si siano interessati, per la prima volta nella storia, di spiegare in modo ufficiale e dettagliato come funziona il mm. Gli stessi hanno promesso nuove e più approfondite discussioni sull’argomento, a partire dal rilascio dell’ormai prossima Season 1.

Anche il leggendario Scump contro lo SBMM di Modern Warfare 3: “il peggior matchmaking della storia di COD”

La spiegazione di Activision sul matchmaking di Call of Duty MW3 e Warzone 

Sappiamo che c’è molto interesse per l’esperienza di matchmaking, in particolare riguardo al fatto che l’abilità contribuisce al modo in cui le lobby e le partite vengono messe insieme.

Niente è più importante per noi dell’esperienza che i giocatori hanno con il gioco, e il matchmaking ne è una parte importante. Lavoriamo al nostro sistema di matchmaking da oltre dieci anni e continuiamo a dedicare molto tempo ed energie al miglioramento del processo di matchmaking. Ciò coinvolge le persone che lavorano nei nostri studi Call of Duty, i nostri team di servizi backend presso Demonware e altri gruppi come il nostro team Player Insights.

È un grande sforzo su cui abbiamo lavorato per molti anni e il nostro approccio combina latenza, tempo di ricerca e abilità, insieme a molti altri fattori, per cercare di trovare la migliore esperienza di abbinamento per te. Parlare di questo argomento in dettaglio può essere difficile e non abbiamo dedicato il tempo a mettere insieme tutto il nostro lavoro per condividere con voi le nostre intuizioni e i miglioramenti nel corso di molti anni. Non vediamo l’ora di farlo nelle prossime settimane dopo il lancio della Stagione 1, e lo renderemo anche parte delle nostre discussioni in corso con la community.

Non ci resta che attendere questi nuovi focus dedicati, con la speranza che i devs trovino una soluzione a questo “frustranteproblema.

Warzone/MW3 – Con una mossa tanto attesa quanto sperata, gli sviluppatori di Call of Duty “finalmente” risolvono alla radice il problema delle skin Gaia!

Le skin Gaia (o “alberello“, o “evil groot“, o “maledetto cespuglio“, i nomignoli e gli epiteti di questa skin sono davvero tanti…) appartengono infatti al passato del gioco, visto che una manciata di minuti fa i devs hanno confermato la sospensione di questi contenuti fino a nuovo ordine.

Non sappiamo quando queste skin verranno ripristinate, ma è sicuro che se ne parlerà almeno (e comunque non prima) di inizio 2024.

Le skin operatore Gaia e Gaia BlackCell per Nova sono state temporaneamente disabilitate mentre lavoriamo per risolvere i problemi di visibilità. I giocatori possono aspettarsi che questi elementi vengano riattivati ​​in un futuro aggiornamento del gioco con modifiche per facilitare l’identificazione del bersaglio.

Speriamo quindi che il prossimo intervento degli sviluppatori sia definitivamente risolutivo, e che il ritorno prossimo della skin Gaia non equivalga ad una nuova spike di problemi per la visibilità dei nemici.
