LCS Star Doublelift hospitalization sparks concerns among League of Legends fan
LCS fans worried – Renowned League of Legends player, Yiliang ‘Doublelift’ Peng, finds himself in the hospital due to internal bleeding, leading to understandable concerns among his fans.
In a recent tweet, the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) star shared a picture from his hospital bed, accompanied by a cryptic caption: “rough week.”
Worried fans and followers immediately flooded the comment section, expressing their heartfelt worries for his well-being.
Responding to the outpouring of queries, Leena, Doublelift’s partner, revealed that the eight-time LCS champion has been grappling with gastrointestinal bleeding, a condition he has been dealing with for nearly a week now.
Fans rally in support as Doublelift’s health becomes a top priority for the gaming community.
Having been a prominent figure in the LCS since 2011, it came as a surprise to many when it was announced last year that Doublelift would be making a return to join 100 Thieves.
Doublelift cited the “competitive itch” as the driving force behind his comeback, a relentless desire to be back in the thick of the action that retirement couldn’t quell.
During an earlier livestream, Doublelift candidly discussed his decision to join 100 Thieves, emphasizing that he prioritized a strong roster and a compatible organization over monetary gain.
He even admitted that streaming could potentially earn him significantly more income with half the hours invested in comparison to professional gaming. “I’d make as much in a year streaming, and I’d probably be putting in half as many hours [by streaming],” Doublelift confessed.
As it turns out, his choice to retire in 2020 was largely influenced by the disappointment of Worlds 2020 and the uncertainties surrounding TSM’s roster at the time.
In light of the current situation, fans are now anxiously awaiting further updates on Doublelift’s health condition.
