Tutti gli Esports Blizzard si trasferiscono su You Tube!
Rivoluzione nel mondo degli esports di Blizzard Activision.
Da oggi in avanti tutte le partite della Overwatch League, giunta alla sua terza stagione, della nuovissima Call of Duty League e di tutte le altre competizioni targate Blizzard come il campionato del mondo Arena o gli Hearthstone Grandmasters, saranno tutte trasmesse esclusivamente sulla piattaforma di Youtube Gaming.
L’accordo è stato raggiunto nella giornata di ieri, dopo la scadenza del contratto che ha portato a casa Blizzard ben 90 milioni di dollari per l’esclusiva precedentemente detenuta da Twitch. Un’emorragia quella che sta colpendo Twitch ormai da diversi mesi, a cui ora si aggiunge anche la perdita del canale della OWL, uno dei più attivi e visti durante l’anno passato sulla piattaforma.
Come dicevamo all’inizio, l’esclusiva riguarderà quindi anche le trasmissioni di Hearthstone, nate praticamente fin dal giorno zero su Twitch e seguite, per anni, da molti storici membri della community che ora dovranno trasferirsi su una nuova piattaforma. Una mossa certamente inaspettata quanto decisiva, che inizia a far chiedere a moltissimi spettatori numerose domande tra cui quelle inerenti il nuovo pass di quest’anno (e se ci saranno differenze rispetto all’anno scorso) o i contenuti “esclusivi” che potrebbero venire trasmessi su You Tube Gaming.
Per fortuna, manca ormai pochissimo all’inizio della primissima League “worldwide” e non ci resta che aspettare.

The Overwatch League is teaming up with YouTube for a multi-year deal to provide world-class livestreaming for our fans! Starting with the 2020 season opening weekend—with home matches in New York City and Dallas—YouTube will be the league’s exclusive streaming partner, home to all live and on-demand Overwatch League matches.
In addition to hosting all matches, the Overwatch League YouTube channel will also be home to other special video features throughout the season and beyond. 2020 Overwatch League matches will premiere on youtube.com/overwatchleague on Feb. 8.
In addition to OWL, the Call of Duty League, Hearthstone Masters and Grandmasters, and the World of Warcraft Mythic Dungeon International and Arena World Championship will also be livestreamed and available on demand on their respective YouTube channels.
Overwatch League match livestreams and VODs will be available in China on different platforms.
