Marvel SNAP: 2 Decks to try out with PHOENIX FORCE
Marvel SNAP, Phoenix Force – A few days ago, we finally had the release of the new season, Rise of the Phoenix, and the new Phoenix Force card is now on the spotlight with the Season Pass. For all the details about the upcoming cards, their abilities, and their affiliation pool, please check out our previous articles.
If you’ve purchased the pass and can’t wait to try out the new card, what are the synergies you can explore? Let’s take a look at two decks to try on Day One.
Thanks to its ability, Phoenix Force pairs well with Destroy decks, as it brings back one of your destroyed cards and joins forces with it. Not only does it revive the card, but it also allows you to move it each turn. NOTE: If the revived card has a Discover ability, it will be activated upon its return to the field!
Marvel SNAP, Two Decks to Try with Phoenix Force
Let’s start with a classic Destroy deck.
Nothing could be simpler to start off strong than a pure Destroy deck, with a well-structured Energy curve and the ability to bring back a card on turn 5. Adding a +6 Strength bonus to it sets you up for a potentially devastating turn 6, with Death and Knull ensuring a remarkably strong presence on the field. Sabretooth at zero Energy, Death at a very low cost (possibly zero Energy as well), and a powered-up Knull. Definitely worth a try!
Alternative Deck with Black Panther and Arnim Zola
With this deck, we can explore an “alternative” yet potent and potentially devastating synergy. The key to success lies in Electro, which allows us to play Black Panther on turn 4, destroy him on turn 5 with Arnim Zola, and then revive him on turn 6 with Phoenix Force.
This particular play will grant us two Black Panthers with a combined Strength of 16 in two different fields on turn 6. In the final field, we’ll bring him back to life with Phoenix Force, resulting in a base Strength of 16 points (8×2), which becomes a total of 22 thanks to the +6 bonus from Phoenix Force. An alternative strategy worth trying and testing!
In conclusion, the introduction of the new Phoenix Force card in Marvel SNAP opens up exciting possibilities for gameplay.
Whether you choose to build a pure Destroy deck or explore alternative synergies with characters like Black Panther and Arnim Zola, the rise of the Phoenix brings a fresh dynamic to the game. Get ready to unleash the power of Phoenix Force and dominate the battlefield!
