The Amazing SpiderMan 3 “OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT” turns out to be a TROLL by Sony
The Amazing SpiderMan 3 – In the world of cinema, few superheroes are as beloved and iconic as Spider-Man. The character has seen numerous portrayals over the years, with Andrew Garfield’s rendition of the web-slinger in “The Amazing Spider-Man” franchise earning him a dedicated fan following.
After the success of the recent multiversal blockbuster, “No Way Home,” fans have been eagerly speculating about the possibility of a return for Garfield in “The Amazing SpiderMan 3.”
However, Sony Pictures, the studio behind the franchise, recently played a rather cruel prank on fans, leaving them disappointed but still hopeful for the future.
The Journey of The Amazing SpiderMan 3 could be not as over as you think
In an attempt to stir excitement and curiosity among fans, Sony Pictures posted a video on TikTok featuring the poster of “The Amazing Spider-Man.” The caption teased, “Standby for an important announcement.” This sent thousands of fans into a frenzy, eagerly anticipating news of a potential third installment featuring Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man.
However, instead of the announcement fans had hoped for, they were met with the infamous internet prank known as the “Rickroll.” Sony playfully tricked the fans by surprising them with a tribute of Rick Astley’s hit song, “Never Gonna Give You Up.” The playful caption, “Sorry in advance,” added insult to injury, leaving fans feeling disappointed and deceived.
The video garnered significant attention, amassing nearly ONE MILLION views and thousands of comments from devastated fans. Many expressed their feelings of hurt and betrayal, comparing the prank to a painful experience. Some fans playfully demanded retribution from Sony, while others pleaded for the long-awaited “Amazing Spider-Man 3” to become a reality.
Despite the prank, hope for “The Amazing Spider-Man 3” remains alive, thanks in part to Andrew Garfield himself. In a podcast interview, Garfield expressed his openness to reprise the role. Emphasizing that any potential return would have to be unique and in service to both the character and the audience. With the multiverse now an established concept in the MCU, the possibilities for Garfield’s Spider-Man are indeed limitless.
