At the start of the expansion, only one legendary at a time can be equipped so that while extraordinarily lucky people will have more choices about which to use when, they won’t be significantly more powerful than somebody that isn’t quite as lucky. As the expansion progresses, the number of legendaries that can be equipped at once will go up, although still limited to a relatively small number of slots.

Il Dev annuncia quindi che starteremo l’exp con un solo slot leggendario equipaggiabile (e sappiamo già che un secondo arriverà tramite un talento dell’Order Hall! ndr) e che nel corso dell’espansione aumenteranno – pur rimanendo una minoranza, dice.
La cosa è preoccupante. Come si evince da altri post di utenti e relative risposte dei Dev :

Legendary Effects
I feel that the issue is that this type of legendary will even be allowed into the game. I haven’t spoken to a single person that doesn’t think they’ll be a nightmare for raiders. Even one of these items can offer a ridiculous power difference for certain spells/classes.
As you note, there is a massive amount of tuning yet to be done here. A legendary that makes you unkillable, or that doubles your damage, is not a legendary that will be going live in that form. We’re testing a lot of different ideas. Some need numbers adjustments; others may prove impossible to tune or unfun. Alpha is alpha.

But if we’re in a space where items being powerful and transformative is unacceptable, then that feels like a problem. Marginal passive stat increases, like replacing your bracers that have 93 Haste with bracers that have 105 Haste, are certainly easy to balance and safe. They’re also pretty dull. And rewards should be anything but. Currently, completing set bonuses or getting powerful trinkets are some of the more rewarding moments, and those offer powerful effects comparable to many of the planned Legion legendaries. In a way, things like the Archimonde trinkets in Patch 6.2 were a preview of how some of these effects might interact and transform gameplay. We wish more items felt like those, and fewer felt like getting that bracer upgrade.

Way back in the early days of WoW, getting a Hand of Edward the Odd out of a strongbox was like winning the lottery, and every enemy you killed had the potential to be that lucky ticket. Over the years, loot delivery mechanics and their impact have become more and more streamlined, often at the expense of excitement. Legendary items offer a bit of that classic feel.

That said, in addition to the overall unique-equipped limit, our current thinking is that there will be a suppression aura in effect on Mythic raids for the first X weeks after a given raid zone opens, disabling legendary items’ special effects (they will still function normally as high-ilvl regular items). This will serve to limit any perceived unfairness in the progression “race,” while also serving as a self-nerfing mechanism that can kick in once that race is done

Hey, just wanted to pop in to let you all know about an upcoming change that didn’t quite make it into today’s build: Lacerate is going to be replaced with Swipe (Bear). It’ll be no cooldown, free, with AoE damage somewhere between Lacerate’s direct damage and Moonfire’s direct damage (i.e., it’ll be your lowest priority ability for single target, but offer on-demand AoE if needed).

EDIT: There are several other changes still coming to Guardian-specific talents as well, to add some more interesting gameplay options on rows where there were too many passive choices.

We look forward to feedback once you’ve gotten to test it in the next build!

Durante l’inizio di questa settimana un post su Reddit inerente una gilda molto “particolare” ha catturato l’attenzione di moltissimi giocatori di World of Warcraft.

Nel corso del weekend infatti, una nuova gilda ha iniziato a spammare sulla trade chat un messaggio di reclutamento sessista, all’interno del quale si suggeriva alle “belle ragazze” di joinare l’organizzazione.

A segnalare la cosa è stato l’utente AtlasDestiny che ha provveduto a coprire sia il nome del protagonista, sia quello della gilda per cui stava cercando nuovi membri.

Nel messaggio, la gilda annunciava “siamo alla ricerca di nuovi gildani, accettiamo tutti, ma se siete delle donne “moderatamente attraenti” riceverete un trattamento speciale“.

Se non fosse per il sessismo esplicito ed implicito che questo post racchiude, verrebbe quasi da chiedersi cosa potessero intendere con quel “moderatamente attraenti”… Ma soprattutto, cosa potrebbero mai intendere con quel “trattamento speciale”?

Inutile dire che nel giro di pochi minuti il post ha scatenato un tale livello di sdegno da diventare virale su Reddit. Pensate che al momento in cui scriviamo questo aggiornamento, il post ha accumulato quasi 4 mila upvote e più di 300 commenti.

Nel post di reclutamento la gilda si presentava come una “nuova organizzazione“, evidentemente “appena nata”. Dopo questa terribile uscita, non pensiamo tuttavia che riusciranno mai a fullare un party per giocare…

Oggi inizierà ufficialmente la stagione numero 4 di World of Warcraft Shadowlands, contenuto che introdurrà molteplici novità sul titolo mmo di Blizzard.

La nuova season sbarca sui server live con una nuova selezione di spedizioni Mitiche+ (tra cui dei dungeon delle espansioni precedenti con un nuovo modificatore), una nuova esperienza raid con le Incursioni Predestinate, boss mondiali potenziati, una nuova stagione PvP e fantastiche ricompense.

Quali sono le principali novità della Season 4 di World of Warcraft Shadowlands? 

  • Incursioni Predestinate: Tutte le incursioni di Shadowlands faranno parte di un sistema “predestinato” con una rotazione settimanale. Ogni settimana, un’incursione diversa (Castello di Nathria, Sanctum del Dominio o Sepolcro dei Primi), sarà Predestinata, aggiungendo modificatori a ogni incontro e ricompensando i giocatori con oggetti migliori in tutte le difficoltà.
    • A dare il via alla rotazione questa settimana sarà il Castello di Nathria.
  • Nuova rotazione di spedizioni Mitiche+: In questa stagione, la rotazione delle spedizioni Mitiche+ si concentrerà sull’offrire una varietà di spedizioni attuali o del passato, incluse due che sono state votate dalla community:
    • Tutte le mega spedizioni nelle loro versioni suddivise:
      • Tazavesh: Strade delle Meraviglie (Shadowlands)
      • Tazavesh: Azzardo di So’leah (Shadowlands)
      • Operazione: Meccagon – Discarica (Battle for Azeroth)
      • Operazione: Meccagon – Officina (Battle for Azeroth)
      • Ritorno a Karazhan Inferiore (Legion)
      • Ritorno a Karazhan Superiore (Legion)
    • Spedizioni di Warlords of Draenor votate dalla community: Darsena di Ferro e Deposito del Frecciacupa.
  • Nuovo modificatore per le spedizioni Mitiche+ – Ammantato: Man mano che i personaggi progrediscono nelle spedizioni Mitiche+, incontreranno dei Signori del Terrore travestiti da PNG nemici. Scovare ed eliminare questi Signori del Terrore fornirà un potenziamento secondario che si accumula a scelta.
  • Nuova stagione PvP

Oltre a queste novità, gli sviluppatori di Blizzard hanno anche svelato tutti i dettagli relativi ai bilanciamenti applicati ad alcune classi. In particolare, finiscono sotto la lente d’ingrandimento il Druido, il Cacciatore, e poi anche il Mago, Monaco, Paladino, Sacerdote, Stregone e Guerriero.

  • DRUIDO

    • EQUILIBRIO
      • Danni inflitti da Pioggia di Stelle aumentati del 15%.
        • Nota degli sviluppatori: i danni ad area del Druido Equilibrio sono gradualmente diminuiti nel corso degli ultimi mesi, secondo noi perché Pioggia di Stelle non beneficiava come altri incantesimi simili dell’aumento di generazione di potere astrale e di celerità conseguenti all’aumento del livello dell’equipaggiamento. Stiamo esaminando diverse soluzioni per il futuro, ma per ora vogliamo semplicemente potenziare questo aspetto perché sia competitivo nei contenuti attuali.
  • CACCIATORE

    • SOPRAVVIVENZA
      • Danni inflitti da Assalto del Raptor, Morso della Mangusta e Ordine di Morte aumentati del 15%.
      • Bonus da 4 pezzi del set: danni bonus inflitti da Bomba di Fuocobrado ridotti al 20% (invece del 30%).
      • Bomba di Fuocobrado e le sue varianti Infusione di Fuocobrado ora infliggono danni ridotti se colpiscono più di 8 bersagli. Le descrizioni verranno aggiornate in una patch futura in modo da riflettere questo nuovo funzionamento.
        • Nota degli sviluppatori: il bonus del set Bombardiere Impazzito potenzia l’abilità Bomba di Fuocobrado in modo divertente ed efficace, ma vista la potenzialmente frequente attivazione del bonus del set e il fatto che Bomba di Fuocobrado non ha un tetto massimo di bersagli, i Cacciatori Sopravvivenza stanno superando le aspettative nei contenuti in cui ci sono molti bersagli da colpire. Dato che le interazioni del bonus del set sono divertenti, invece di modificare la frequenza o la potenza della Bomba di Fuocobrado potenziata, abbiamo deciso di ridurne l’efficacia quando colpisce un numero alto di bersagli nemici. Per compensare la perdita di danni negli scenari a bersaglio singolo, potenzieremo i danni inflitti da Ordine di Morte, Assalto del Raptor e Morso della Mangusta.
  • MAGO

    • ARCANO
      • Durata di Lancio Istintivo aumentata a 20 secondi (invece di 15 secondi).
        • Nota degli sviluppatori: abbiamo deciso di aumentare la durata di Lancio Istintivo per ridurre quelle occasioni in cui capita che il beneficio scompaia senza aver dato al giocatore l’opportunità di sfruttarlo. Questo problema si presenta soprattutto in PvP, ma non c’era ragione per implementare la modifica esclusivamente in PvP.
  • MONACO

    • IMPETO
      • Danni inflitti da Calcio Rotante della Gru ridotti del 5%.
        • Nota degli sviluppatori: siamo contenti delle precedenti modifiche ai danni a bersaglio singolo che hanno reso il Monaco Impeto un’opzione potente in un ampio spettro di situazioni. Tuttavia, il suo contributo totale finisce spesso per essere leggermente troppo forte nei contesti in cui si sfrutta appieno il suo punto di forza dei danni ad area. Questa modifica non ha lo scopo di rimuovere questi punti di forza, ma di garantire che sia più equilibrato rispetto agli altri personaggi.
  • PALADINO

    • PROTEZIONE
      • Armatura aumentata del 5%.
      • Aumento della probabilità di blocco fornito da Scudo Benedetto (talento) aumentato al 20% (invece del 15%).
        • Nota degli sviluppatori: vediamo molti Paladini Protezione morire per danni in mischia o danni misti in mischia e magici. Questo cambiamento ha lo scopo di migliorare le loro prestazioni contro entrambi questi tipi di danno.
  • SACERDOTE

    • OMBRA
      • Risonanza Mentale, danni aumentati del 30%.

Questo impedirà che la generazione di frammenti vada fuori controllo, così come i danni ad area degli Stregoni. Comunque, questo avrà un impatto anche sui danni a bersaglio singolo di Distruzione, e per contrastare questo impatto, abbiamo aumentato i danni di diverse abilità a bersaglio singolo. Questo è un grande cambiamento, pertanto terremo d’occhio i vostri commenti e faremo delle modifiche in futuro, se necessario.
  • GUERRIERO

    • PROTEZIONE
      • Effetto d’assorbimento di Insensibilità aumentato del 30%. Inoltre, il limite massimo dell’effetto d’assorbimento è ora del 30% della salute massima (invece del doppio di quanto assorbito da Insensibilità).
        • Nota degli sviluppatori: ci sembrava che i Guerrieri Protezione faticassero con i danni magici e non evitabili. Il cambiamento principale ha lo scopo di aiutare a migliorare la loro sopravvivenza in quelle situazioni, mentre la modifica al limite massimo ne limita la forza negli altri casi.

WoW Mobile – Nel corso delle ultime ore è diventato letteralmente virale un post Reddit in cui viene mostrato il popolare World of Warcraft sulla console portatile Steam Deck!

Quello di World of Warcraft su dispositivi mobile è un “sogno” per milioni di giocatori da diverso tempo. Questo celebre mmo è infatti sempre stato disponibile solo su PC, ed è proprio per questo che il post in questione ha suscitato tanto “rumore” nel subreddit dedicato.

A svelare la versione di World of Warcraft su Steam Deck è stato l’utente Skulled3010, che dopo aver installato l’MMO sulla sua console portatile ha anche fatto una foto dell’UI pesantemente rinnovata.

Osservando l’immagine sotto, noterete come i principali indicatori vengono posizionati nella parte bassa dello schermo, per una resa generale che sembra favorire (e moltissimo) l’esperienza di gioco mobile. Skulled3010 ha anche commentato la cosa, descrivendo la sua esperienza su WoW dallo Steam Deck come a qualcosa di assolutamente positivo.

WoW su Steam Deck è abbastanza divertente!” ha scritto Skulled, che ha proseguito: “Fantastico da giocare, anche nei dungeon. Ho però bloccato il gioco a 40 FPS, cosi da essere sicuro che funzionasse senza alcun intoppo“.

Come si presenta WoW sulla Steam Deck Mobile? 

Per quanto riguarda il reparto addon, Skulled ha utilizzato ConsolePort per il layout dei pulsanti e AzeriteUI per sistemare l’interfaccia. Sebbene lo Steam Deck non sembri naturalmente predisposto per ospitare World of Warcraft, coloro che dispongono di questo nuovo dispositivo potranno facilmente giocare a WoW senza troppi problemi.
