La patch è piccola, contiene qualche piccolo cambiamento per alcuni champion, il vero pezzo grosso sono le tanto attese skin PROJECT, finalmente disponibili in live!
La seguente patch (in inglese) non è ufficiale, ma ufficiosa!

Initializing PROJECT First Strike & PROJECT Sync

Be among the first to unlock new PROJECT skins from 9/8 – 9/15 23:59 PDT and show that you were part of the First Strike with permanent exclusive loading screen cards.

PROJECT Sync

Unlock custom spawn effects and PROJECT minions when you and your team equip PROJECT skins or wards for that game — only during 5.17 and 5.18!

Here’s how it works:

  • Optic Enhancer ward skin = 1 Sync Point
  • Each PROJECT skin = 2 Sync Points

If you start a game with 2 Sync Points, your team unlocks custom PROJECT spawn effects.

With 4 Sync Points, your team unlocks melee PROJECT minions as well as caster PROJECT minions.

With 6 Sync Points, you’ll unlock cannon PROJECT minions and super PROJECT minions.

We’re excited for you try out PROJECT First Strike and PROJECT Sync on PBE!

There is also a special effect at the start of the game when you load in with a PROJECT skin on your team. As noted above, this will be sticking around for 5.17 & 5.18

HUD Update: Evolution/Augmentation UI

The UI for champions with Kha’Zix’s evolutions and Viktor’s Augmentations has been updated!

“Show Spell Costs” option added

New option to “Show Spell Costs” has been added to the options menu! As the name implies, enabling this option puts the individual ability resource costs on the HUD.

Here’s Rayven with PBE boards thread on the resource cost display:

“Hey folks, we’d like to get some feedback on a new feature. We’ve added an option to display spell costs on abilities in the HUD.

To turn it on, go into your options menu in game and under the interface section, there should be a checkbox labeled “Show spell costs.”

“They Are Coming”

Added were several files named “TheyAreComing”, including visuals and and sounds. While we don’t know exactly what this is referencing yet, we’ve seem similar mysterious files pop up teasing Tahm Kench and Bard prior to their releases.

Here’s what the mark from these new files looks like:

 While we haven’t figured out exactly how to trigger it, here’s a few observations:
  • It seems to be random and It will NOT happen for you every game.
  • The symbol seems to show up around 15-25 seconds in.
  • Seems to work with every champion (personally triggered it on Graves, Gnar, Kassadin, Janna, Rammus, Nautilus)

  • Conquering Sands (Q) [added to tooltip: Enemies hit by multiple Sand Soldiers will have the slow duration refreshed, but will not take additional damage.”]

  • Caretaker’s Shrine (W) mana cost lowered to 90 at all ranks from 100/105/110/115/120
  • Magical Journey (E) cooldown lowered to 18/17/16/15/14 from 20/19/18/17/16
Darius

  • Hemorrhage (Passive) effect renamed to Noxian Might from Bloodrage
  • Crippling Strike (W) new effect: “Crippling Strike refunds its Mana cost and 50% of its cooldown if it kills the target”


Draven

  • League of Draven (Passive) Now specifies 2 bonus stacks when killing 6 minions in a row without dropping an axe.
  • [NOTE: at 150 stacks and every 100 stacks after that, there is now a chat message. There is also a chat message when Draven cashes in. ]

Fizz

  • Urchin Strike (Q) AP ratio increased to .35 AP from .3
  • Seastone Trident (W) active’s damage changed to 10/15/20/25/30 (+.3 AP) from 10/20/30/40/50 (+.25 AP)
  • Chum The Waters (R) now only amplifies magic damage.

Gangplank

  • Powder Keg (E) armor ignore reduced to 50% from 60%

Garen

  • Base Movement speed lowered to 340 from 345
  • Decisive Strike (Q) movement speed lowered to 30% from 35%
  • Demacian Justice (R) [tooltip changed now does (28/33/40% of target’s missing health)  from  (plus 1 damage for every 3.5/3/2.5 health target is missing) – same effect, different wording]

  • Drunken Rage (W) maximum health % bonus damage to 8% down from 8/9/10/11/12%

Janna

  • Howling Gale (Q) now travels up to 35% further from 20% but base range has been reduced – her max distance at full charge is the same vs live. **
  • Monsoon (R) AP ratio lowered to .5 AP from .6 AP

  • Counter Strike (E) mana cost reduced to 50/60/70/80/90 from 70/75/80/85/90

Kalista

Seguendo il trend delle competizioni sportive non virtuali, pare che anche l’esport di League of Legends stia virando verso un calendario competitivo sempre più fitto.

Secondo un recente report pubblicato da Sheep Esports (CLICCANDO QUI consultabile in originale ed integralmente), Riot Games avrebbe n programma per il 2025 un nuovissimo evento internazionale, che come i Worlds e l’MSI, metterà a confronto i migliori giocatori da tutto il mondo.

Stando a quanto si apprende, il nuovo evento dovrebbe tenersi a metà tra il Winter e lo Spring Split e coinvolgerebbe almeno un team da ogni regione.

Problematiche e Vantaggi di un nuovo tipo di evento su LoL

Con l’avvento della Esports World Cup in Arabia durante la prossima estate ed MSI e Worlds che richiedono sempre maggiore attenzione, è difficile in questo momento dire se aggiungerne una terza possa rappresentare un vantaggio o uno svantaggio.

Con certezza sappiamo che un nuovo torneo internazionale porterebbe molti soldi nelle casse di mamma Riot, che gli permetterebbe di investire nei numerosi progetti e nell’aumento della qualità nello svolgimento degli eventi, che da ormai tempo si dice essere un po’ calata rispetto al passato.

Il fatto che lo svolgimento del torneo si collocherebbe tra Marzo ed Aprile del prossimo anno, pone tuttavia una serie di problematiche. Prima fra tutte una di tipo organizzativo. Visto lo slot occupato da questo nuovo evento, l’MSI dovrebbe essere rimandato verso Giugno o forse anche Luglio (a seconda della durata delle fasi), mentre i Worlds verrebbero spinti verso Ottobre inoltrato, o forse anche più tardi.

Insomma, qualsiasi cosa decida di fare Riot siamo certi che il grande spettacolo esportivo non smetterà certo di appassionare i milioni e milioni di fan in tutto il mondo.

L’MSI 2024 è ormai alle porte e le migliori squadre da ogni regione stanno iniziando a qualificarsi attraverso le fasi di Play-off. Ecco tutte le squadre che si sono già qualificate e cosa devono fare le squadre delle altre regioni per accedere all’evento.

Come sapete l’MSI offre molti meno slot rispetto ai Worlds, e il processo di scelta delle squadre che rappresenteranno le rispettive regioni a Chengdu, in Cina, è un po’ diverso rispetto all’anno scorso per alcune regioni.

Quando si gioca l’MSI 2024?

Con un comunicato stampa pubblicato solo una manciata di ore fa su X, l’Esports World Cup annuncia un montepremi record per la prossima edizione 2024 del mondiale.

L’edizione 2024 verrà ospitata dalla città di Riyadh, ed al suo interno vedrà coinvolti 19 titoli competitivi per un totale di 20 tornei. Il montepremi totale stanziato per tutto l’evento è di ben 60 milioni di Dollari… Ben 15 milioni in più rispetto al precedente record ottenuto da Gamers8 nel corso del 2023.

La grande novità è però rappresentata dal Club Championship… Ovvero un formato competitivo cross-game esclusivo del mondiale, che assegnerà 20 milioni di dollari ai primi 16 club in base alle loro prestazioni complessive sui vari titoli in gara.

Per quanto riguarda appunto i titoli coinvolti, sappiamo che al momento la lista comprende, tra gli altri, anche: Apex Legends, Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, EA Sports FC 24, Fortnite, League of Legends, Overwatch 2, PUBG Battlegrounds, PUBG MOBILE, Rainbow Six Siege, Rocket League, StarCraft II, Street Fighter 6, Teamfight Tactics e TEKKEN 8.

Il comunicato ufficiale dell’Esports World Cup sul montepremi di Riyadh 2024

Siamo orgogliosi di annunciare un montepremi totale senza precedenti di oltre 60 milioni di dollari per la prima Coppa del mondo di eSport questa estate a Riyadh, in Arabia Saudita. Questa somma che cambia la vita è il montepremi più grande mai assegnato nella storia degli eSports… Ed infrange il precedente record di 45 milioni di dollari stabilito da Gamers8 nel 2023.

Lo storico montepremi della Coppa del mondo eSports è all’altezza delle sue dimensioni: l’evento presenterà i migliori club e giocatori del mondo in 20 tornei distinti in 19 titoli competitivi, con altri da annunciare, durante il suo programma di otto settimane.

La considerevole ricompensa rappresenta un significativo passo avanti nell’impegno della Esports World Cup Foundation di far crescere l’industria globale degli eSports fornendo allo stesso tempo opzioni di carriera più sostenibili per giocatori competitivi e club di eSport multidisciplinari. Contribuirà inoltre a sostenere l’EWC come piattaforma che riunisce i migliori giocatori, squadre e organizzazioni per una celebrazione internazionale dell’eccellenza e del fandom degli eSports.

Il dettaglio sul campionato del mondo esports per club: 

Il Club Championship, un innovativo formato competitivo cross-game esclusivo dell’EWC, assegnerà 20 milioni di dollari ai primi 16 club in base alle loro prestazioni complessive. Il Campionato per club è un nuovo formato incentrato su competizioni multi-gioco… In cui ogni club ha l’opportunità di schierare le proprie squadre in più titoli. Alla conclusione dell’evento, il club con le migliori prestazioni nei vari campionati di gioco verrà incoronato primo campione del mondo per club della Coppa del mondo di eSport.

Il restante montepremi sarà suddiviso in tre categorie di distribuzione aggiuntive: Campionati di gioco, Ricompense dei giocatori e Qualificazioni. Ognuna delle 20 competizioni dei Game Championships avrà il proprio montepremi per un totale combinato superiore a 33 milioni di dollari. Inoltre, un premio di $ 50.000 per il giocatore MVP verrà assegnato a un partecipante eccezionale in ogni competizione. Più di 7 milioni di dollari verranno assegnati prima dell’inizio dei Campionati di gioco… Ovvero mentre squadre e giocatori competono per qualificarsi per i posti disponibili nei tornei attraverso eventi di qualificazione idonei gestiti da editori partner e organizzatori di eventi.
