G-CUP Discord

How to join G-CUP’s voice chat and correctly set your nickname (not the username).

Download and Install Discord from this link (do not use the browser version, it’s worse):

https://discordapp.com/download

Make sure you have opened Discord and click on the following link:

Join G-CUP’s Discord server

Discord will ask you to join the server and once inside you will see this screen:

The round icons on the left are the servers that you’ve saved (they may be more than one)

The server you are connected to is the one highlighted in pink. Make sure it’s G-CUP’s server.

At this point, the last thing you must do is to set your nickname correctly so that you can receive all the permissions needed to join your team’s voice and text channel.

To change your nickname click on the symbol next to the server’s name like shown:

After that a drop down menu will open: click change nickname

On the window that will open, type your nickname following this pattern:

COMMUNITY (if you’re from a multigaming) TEAM NAME – USER BATTLETAG (the one you use to add friends on Blizzard App)

This is what it should look like:

As you can see, my username has not changed but my nickname did, on both the channel and online users list.

Afterwards your team’s channels will be created.
