Black Ops Nerf – Gli sviluppatori di Tryarch hanno da poco pubblicato una nuova ed importante tornata di bilanciamenti per Black Ops Cold War e molte delle sue armi.

Dopo il rapido fix di qualche giorno fa all’MP5 (che viene comunque riportato tra le note di questa patch), assistiamo alla pubblicazione di tantissimi aggiornamenti, tra cui dei sostanziosi nerf per il fucile tattico M16 e per il fucile d’assalto FFAR1, indiscutibilmente 2 delle migliori armi a disposizione dei giocatori di Cold War.

Queste non sono tuttavia le uniche armi colpite dai bilanciamenti visto che sono state modificate anche la pistola Magnum, la Shotgun Bravo, l’M60 e lo sprint per sparare con i fucili da cecchino. In merito proprio a questi, il celebre sviluppatore di COD Tony Flame ha fatto sapere che vi è in arrivo un buff per il fucile M82, e lo ha fatto postando un teaser su Twitter che vi riportiamo di seguito:

Non è ancora chiaro quale intervento verrà scelto per l’M82 ma siamo abbastanza sicuri che si tratterà di un fix che vedremo fra pochissimo tempo.

    • Adjusted movement speed impact when firing to intended values to make each shot feel more powerful.
    • Fine-tuned barrel attachments that improve idle sway to provide a unique feel on each gun.

    • Addressed an issue where players would spawn outside of the intended play space when playing CDL Hardpoint in Custom Games.

    • Improved the interaction when using Stationary Turrets in Combined Arms.

    • Adjusted various spawns in Multiplayer game modes that could result in the player spawning above the ground.

    • Addressed an issue where a player in the crawlspace could collide with players above them.

  • Tomahawks can now be thrown immediately at round start.

  • Extended time after damaging an enemy that will count toward an Elimination if that enemy is killed.

Finishing Moves

  • Improved the ability to trigger a Finishing Move on misaligned surfaces.
  • Addressed an issue where players would end up in an unintended pose if they were downed while being eliminated by Finishing Move.

  • General
    • Fixed a crash that could occur during intro sequences of a Multiplayer match.
    • Fixed a crash that could occur when using Weapons/Ammo Caches.
    • Fixed multiple rare crashes that could occur while the player was downed.
    • Fixed a rare crash that could occur when pinging a downed friendly player.
    • Fixed a rare crash that could occur when taking damage as the inflictor disconnected from the game.

    • Addressed an issue where, if a player respawned or joined in progress while their teammate was downed, their revive UI would be missing.
    • Addressed a rare occurrence where players would receive a UI error at the end of the exfil cinematic.

    • Addressed an issue where the Woods Operator Unlock Challenge would not progress correctly if different weapons were used during a killstreak.

    • Addressed an issue where the player would lose functionality within the Pause menu if the Gunsmith menu remained open after the intro cutscene.

  • Enemies will now use their out-of-bounds attacks against players in more unintended locations.

  • Fixed a crash that could occur when Perks did not properly match up with the player’s upgraded Perk Skills.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when picking up Perk cans.

    • Addressed an issue that allowed obtaining multiple versions of the same Perk.
    • Addressed an issue that prevented purchasing the Elemental Pop Perk from one side of the machine.

  • Progression
    • After reaching Prestige 1, the player’s Season Level number in the upper-right corner of the screen displays the correct level, but the level number displayed in the After-Action Report is currently inaccurate.
    • Some visual issues can occur during the level-up sequence.
    • Friends’ level icons are not displayed until the player accesses the menu of any game mode.
  • Splitscreen
    • Visual issues can occur in splitscreen in Multiplayer.
    • Splitscreen is currently unavailable in Zombies.
  • Combat Record
    • “Elite Eliminations” in Zombies are not currently being tracked in the Combat Record.
  • Fireteam: Dirty Bomb
    • Team names in the After-Action Report scoreboard are currently incorrect for Fireteam: Dirty Bomb matches.
    • In rare cases, “Detonating Dirty Bomb” may stay on the player’s HUD longer than intended.
  • Parties / Friend List
    • Party leaders may receive “You left the party” after bringing their party back out to the main menu.
    • Players are able to “Quick Join” a player that is marked as Offline.
  • Scorestreaks
    • Chopper Gunner path on Crossroad Strike takes the player farther outside of the play space than intended.

    • The recipient’s name is missing from the chat box when whispered from the Scoreboard.

PC

  • Various stability issues currently being investigated.
  • The Multiplayer menu currently shows up as “Partially Installed” when the Multiplayer package isn’t installed.
  • The Connection pop-up overlaps currently with the account creation screen. Interacting with the error pop-up will allow the player to complete the sign-up process.
  • The camera in Theater cannot be rotated with the mouse.

Keyboard and Mouse

  • The Confirm button at the Change Display Name screen may stay locked even if the player enters text in the Edit box.
  • Quickly navigating through long scrolling lists using a mouse can currently cause stability issues.

Al termine di una straordinaria finale, i Los Angeles Thieves sono riusciti a conquistare il loro primo titolo mondiale del campionato di Call of Duty!

Guidati da Octane ed Envoy, i Thieves hanno superato gli avversari degli Atlanta Faze al termine di una partita che ha visto i californiani vincere per 5-2. I Thieves avevano tra l’altro già sconfitto i FaZe nella finale del girone dei vincenti, e sono quindi riusciti a replicare anche nel momento più importante di tutta la stagione.

Agli Atlanta FaZe va comunque il merito di essere riusciti a centrare per il terzo anno di fila l’obiettivo finali, un record che al momento nessun’altra squadra della Call of Duty League è riuscito ad eguagliare.

Purtroppo per FaZe però, è loro anche il record per il maggior numero si presenze in finale senza ottenere la vittoria visto che, al netto del campionato 2021, Atlanta si è dovuta arrendere prima a Dallas (2020) e poi a Los Angeles (2022).

I Thieves si accaparrano cosi il milione e 200 mila Dollari destinati per il primo classificato, mentre FaZe deve “accontentarsi” di 650 mila Dollari di premio.

Su Twitch numeri finalmente ottimi per la Call of Duty League

La fase finale della Call of Duty League è stata un vero e proprio successo anche a livello di pubblico! Oltre ai tantissimi spettatori presenti dal vivo nell’Arena, le finali hanno anche rappresentato il massimo in termini di numeri sin dalla stagione 2020 di Modern Warfare.

Pensate che la finale ha avuto un picco di 275,244 spettatori, un numero molto più grande rispetto ai 150K di media degli stage più visti del 2022. Questo dato è inoltre molto più simile ai numeri del 2020 (331K di picco), ed in netta crescita rispetto a quelli del 2021 (240K di picco).

Twitch & presunti Cheater – Come ipotizzato diversi mesi fa, il grave periodo di “hackusation” su Call of Duty sta iniziando a mietere le sue prime “vittime”. Per Hackusation si intende quell’atteggiamento di forte diffidenza che c’è da parte di alcuni giocatori nei riguardi di streamer e content creator (ma anche contro gli altri stessi giocatori). Secondo i primi infatti, la maggior parte degli streamer e di tutti i giocatori con più di 1 di K/D sarebbero dei cheater/imbroglioni.

Come ogni altro episodio “spiacevole”, anche l’hackusation è sostanzialmente mosso dalla “non conoscenza” di Call of Duty di tantissimi giocatori.

Forse anche a causa dei nuovi cheat, molto migliori dei precedenti nel “nascondere” e nel rendere “più soft” l’aiuto sul gioco, molti giocatori sembra che non riescano più a distinguere un ottimo player da un semplice cheater.

Oggi l’hackusation su Call of Duty è più forte che mai, e di recente ha investito in pieno petto lo streamer MPControlWard.

Noto per le sue giocate particolarmente “veloci” e per il suo movimento con il mouse che rasenta la perfezione, MPControlWard si è ritrovato di punto in bianco bannato da Twitch per aver “violato il codice di condotta nelle partite multiplayer“.

Il tutto pare sia successo poco dopo la condivisione su Reddit di un post (neanche troppo virale) in cui lo streamer veniva accusato di essere un imbroglione. Il video del post è stato poi anche rimosso, di fatto invalidando tutte le accuse che conteneva. Evidentemente deve essere bastato questo a Twitch per far partire un ban all’account di MPControlWard, evidentemente accusato di essere cheater, è questo è gravissimo.

Perchè è grave che Twitch banni i casi “dubbi”? 

Al netto di quei casi in cui uno streamer viene effettivamente trovato mentre utilizza dei cheat, nei quali è certamente gradito il “pugno duro”, in tutti gli altri servirebbe molto più raziocinio. Bannare uno streamer da Twitch… Specialmente quando si parla di content creator che fanno questo di lavoro, può voler dire arrecare un danno d’immagine/introiti di non poco conto.

Paradossalmente è più importante non beccare un ban da Twitch che non un ban da un qualsiasi publisher per uno streamer professionista. Sapere che vengono applicati dei ban anche in casi cosi “border line” come questo non fa ben sperare per il futuro.

Forse è giunto il momento che Twitch ed i publisher condividano insieme una strada da intraprendere all’unisono. Cosi da escludere, in modo totale, gli utenti “tossici” (e soltanto loro, senza più dei casi “dubbi”) dal resto della community sana dei videogiocatori.

Non appena saranno disponibili delle novità sulla faccenda, non esiteremo ad aggiornarvi. Per il momento comunque, il profilo Twitch di MPControlWard continua ad essere offline, e non sappiamo per quanto durerà lo stop.

Lo scorso 30 Luglio segnalavamo sulle pagine di Powned delle accuse di “plagio” che un artista aveva rivolto contro Activision, rea di aver copiato un modello per farne una skin da vendere su Call of Duty.

La skin in questione è la “Loyal Samoyed“, modello che avrebbe dovuto rappresentare un cane (un Samoiedo, ovviamente) con sembianze umane, mentre l’artista è un certo Saillin. E’ stato lo stesso artista a segnalare la cosa su Twitter, pubblicando un post durissimo contro il gigantesco publisher statunitense.

In questo, Saillin si chiedeva come era possibile che un’azienda cosi importante ed affermata potesse commettere un cosi tragico sbaglio, schiaffando online i suoi disegni originali del modello realizzati nel 2020.

Il post di Saillin sul plagio: “ecco la prova che il Loyal Samoyed di Call of Duty è stato copiato dai miei disegni“: 

A distanza di neanche una settimana è però proprio Activision ad intervenire sulla faccenda. Con un nuovo post, gli sviluppatori hanno infatti chiesto scusa per l’evidente errore (riconoscendo quindi il caso di plagio)… Ed hanno anche annunciato la rimozione totale della skin dallo store di Call of Duty.

Il modello Loyal Samoyed non è stato semplicemente “rimosso” dallo store, ma è stato del tutto cancellato dal gioco. Non sappiamo ancora se nel corso di quest’ultima settimana ci sono stati degli “scambi” tra le parti (Saillin e Activision). Tanto meno sappiamo se questa situazione ha avuto qualche tipo di “esito”, o se è stato raggiunto un accordo tra le parti.
